Gunshots fired into a Madison Avenue bedroom early Sunday killed a 29-year-old mother of four, police said.
Baton Rouge police spokesman Capt. Carl Kelley said in a news release that Charell Green was shot several times about 1 a.m. through her bedroom window at 2751 Madison Ave.
She was taken to Baton Rouge General Medical Center - Mid City where she died. Keep Reading

Lafayette police answered report of multiple shots
A homicide investigation is under way after a man's body, discovered in a crashed car this morning in downtown Lafayette, was found to have a bullet wound.
The Lafayette Police Department is asking for the public's help. Anyone who was near the Spirit Station and witnessed the shooting about 2 a.m. today should call the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 232- TIPS.
Police answered a report of multiple gunshots near the Spirit Station at Jefferson Boulevard and Evangeline Thruway. They found a red 2001 Lincoln Continental crashed into a wall at the train depot at Lee Avenue and the railroad tracks.
The man's body was found in the car, and police said he appeared to have died from a gunshot wound.
